Next Gen Metallocene
Makro Rekat Partners with Regional FMCG Leaders to Roll Out Next-Gen Metallocene Hot Melts
PT Makro Rekat Sekawan has announced a major expansion of its metallocene-based hot melt polymer line, tailored for high-speed automated packaging lines across Southeast Asia.
As global consumer goods brands transition toward lighter-weight corrugated boards and recycled substrates, traditional EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) hot melts often hit performance ceilings. Makro Rekat’s technical R&D team, led by polymer chemistry experts, developed a low-density metallocene formulation that delivers superior thermal stability and bond strength while reducing overall adhesive consumption by up to 20%.

"Industrial packaging is undergoing a massive shift toward material efficiency," said a senior technical specialist at Makro Rekat. "Our new metallocene series eliminates charring in applicator nozzles, slashes maintenance downtime, and secures tough-to-bond recycled board surfaces flawlessly."
